Dekant consists of a bloke from Inverness in Scotland who loves Katatonia and Agalloch. who also happen to have some guitars.
With non existent production this surprisingly quite enjoyable to listen to at times and has some good moments of atmosphere but the majority of the album you spend cringing at the odd signatures and drums going out of sync and almost synth sounding guitars and distortion, The vocals are growly and curdle like and i think work throughout the album but unsure why the same song is twice with different vox(sweet bird)? Theres elements of a good album here just needs production so badly its unreal.. Theres little else to say apart from i like some parts of the songs where it clicks and the song idea sounds promising but is a unprocessed and messy and long listen making i hard to finish.
4/10 RIFFS
